The day they’ve been waiting for finally arrived. It’s trick-or-treat time!
We always walk the neighborhood towards Grandma and Grandpas house as the kids know that Grandma stashes a little extra sweet treat for them.
Just pretend those aren’t birds.
The kids wore their costumes out for the first time today. We went to the Creepy Walk in the Woods, where it was indeed creepy.
This bride roams around in the graveyard, holding candy…
Thomas gratiously "helped" Molly get some.
I finished up the kids costumes today because tomorrow we are going to get dressed up for a local costume walk.
I had to convince Thomas to take off his batman costume and put on his batman pajamas for bed tonight. He told me that he wanted to never take it off and "Wear it for the next 5 years straight."
I’d like that too.
Couldn’t have come up with a better way to mark the 300th day of 2011. Yesterday, Thomas got this Lego set. Today, he put it together completely by himself. All I did was sit back and watch in awe. Really. I am in awe of this big man.
We awoke this morning to snow. TONS OF SNOW.
…and here I thought it was Autumn. Oh well, we decided to go out and enjoy it the best way we could think of…
Well, looks like I need to sew one less costume! – 365, 298, originally uploaded by Fluttering By.
Great grandma sent a card to Molly that had this cute Cinderella mask built in to cut out.
Whew! I was worried about having to sew up three costumes in 6 days. Looks like I only need to worry about two now!
… Hahaha!! If only, right??
Okay, that was a good break, back to sewing…
The very serious science assignment was taken on by the expert botanist Thomas. With his trusted magnifying glass in hand, he took to his work, spotting a multitude of varieties.
A good time was had by all. (Shh… We learned things too.)
Not of the SNL variety, but the kids decided it was a good day to nap. Must be something in the air.
Cool autumn air.
Have you figured out that it’s my favorite season yet?
We had our neighborhood Autumn Festival and after himming and hawing forever about whether or not I would take the kids, we decided to go.
Well, once we got there, the kids picked from the pumpkin patch and even got to decorate them on the spot!
Molly’s face says it all in this photo. They LOVED it. 🙂
