It’s official. Autumn is here.
Shhh… Don’t tell the 90 degree weather.
Since Molly is such the serious artist, I decided to get her some new colored pencils.
I figured she totally earned the graduation from her old Crayola Twistables to these awesome Prismacolor scholars.
She certainly proved me right.
Marcus woke up this morning, picked out his favorite Thomas the tank engine shirt and went downstairs to play with the train track set. We then watched Signing Time where he excitedly signed train. Fast forward to after dinner out in Ft. Collins this evening…
He heard a train. The excitement was overwhelming! He was yelling, asking where it was coming from, and then he saw it.
Awe and pointing followed.
Thomas borrowed my computer this afternoon to work on designing some lego hero factory models.
He took it very seriously.
I can’t believe how mature he’s becoming in his old age (of 6.5yrs).
We borrowed my parents car while Thom’s Mom is visiting because we all can’t fit in our Scion xB.
The best thing about it? Sunroof.
(Note: The car was parked safely while I photographed Molly enjoying the sunroof and no animals were harmed in the production of this shot.)
Thom’s Mom is out for a visit and we decided to show her how much the kids enjoyed the pool.
Molly was quite bold. The boldest I’ve ever seen her. As she swam across the pool she showed off her moves.
I can’t speak for Grandma, but I was certainly impressed.
As we were driving home tonight, we saw the sun setting. It was so pretty, we had to park to get out and watch it.
It was a beautiful thing.
… At 10pm…
Uh, wish us luck tonight?
Molly decided this evening that her headband would make a lovely sleeping mask. She pretended she was asleep, and every couple seconds, she would lift up one eye and say, "Shhh… I’m sleeping over here!"
ps – only 100 more days to go!
Today we had another nature walk; this time for tree leaves. The idea was to collect as many as we could find and group them into like catagories…
We got about halfway back home from our big loop, and Molly wanted to collect every leaf, and flower, in sight.
I asked her to show me one. She complied, lol, but couldn’t take her eyes off of the next leaf to pick!
